Sodium 2-oxopropanoate (Sodium pyruvate) addition resulted in a significant increase in JNK1 activity. Analysis of serum levels of Sodium 2-oxopropanoate in neonatal rats revealed that baseline levels of pyruvate are 0.30 mM.
